Although poor mental health affects both men and women, men are less likely to talk about how they feel and also, look for help. Is this you?
With anxiety and depression, in particular, men tend to display anger, whereas women tend to display sadness. Feeling angry is a form of frustration in being unable to directly express how you're feeling.
This frustration, however, can lead to other problems such as indulging in alcohol to attempt to quieten the distress. Or, suffering from physical problems like headaches, tight chest or feeling run down. Is your distress so acute that you also think about suicide?
